THE 20TH ANNIVERSARY IS HERE
In 2007, we built a few rinks on Lake Muskoka and invited teams to come play hockey the way it was meant to be played. Twenty years later, over 100 teams have answered that call.
This February, we're celebrating two decades of outdoor hockey with our biggest North American Cup yet.
This is your invitation to be part of the tradition.
NORTH AMERICAN CUP 2026
February 20-22, 2026 | Muskoka, Ontario
100+ Teams | 6 Divisions | 3 Days
TWO DECADES OF OUTDOOR HOCKEY
It started with a simple question: What if we brought hockey back to where it belongs?
Not in an arena. Not under fluorescent lights. Not surrounded by boards and glass.
But outdoors. On a frozen lake. The way the game was played before it moved inside.

In 2006, On The Pond Canada built our first outdoor rink on Lake Muskoka and hosted our first North American Cup. We didn't know if teams would come. We didn't know if they'd embrace playing in the elements. We didn't know if this would work.
They came. They loved it. They came back. And they kept coming back. Year after year, teams returned. First-timers became regulars. Players brought their kids. Those kids grew up and brought their own teams. Championships were won. Rivalries were born. Friendships were forged over post-game beers that lasted decades.
What started as an experiment to boost business during a quiet February became a tradition. We hosted 18 teams across six rinks the first year. Fast forward 19 years, and the North American Cup (NAC) now boasts 20 rinks and over 100 teams! Over 20 years, we've hosted 100+ teams who chose to spend their February weekends on a frozen lake in Muskoka instead of anywhere else in the world.
Because once you experience outdoor hockey the way it should be, you get it. This is why we play.
In February 2026, we celebrate 20 years of outdoor hockey with our biggest North American Cup yet.
Will your team be part of the story?
YOUTH TOURNAMENTS
We've been hosting exciting youth hockey tournaments in the Peterborough area for several years. Our PA Day & Holiday Tournaments are one-day events where individual players sign up instead of full teams. Players submit their age, skill level, and position, and we create evenly matched, co-ed teams for a day of fun and competitive hockey! Skill levels are mixed on each team, so players meet new teammates, and by the end of the day, they’ve made new friends while sharpening their hockey skills.
